It is about 30 minutes by train from the centre of Tokyo. It is not really a modern city, but it is convenient with a few old places with history ...

96.3m long 4.14m wide.
It has been choosen as one of " The 100 best roads in Japan ".

Sadly the river looks not pretty.......actually very dirty and disgusting...........
Nikko Kaido
was one of the five routes of the Edo period and it was built to connect Edo(Tokyo) with the Nikko Tosho-gu in Nikko, Japan.
Mastuo Basho is the most famous poet of the Edo period in Japan.
He was writing poems during his journey in his lifetime, and he travelled this road...........long long time ago....

Soka is famous for Rice crackers so there are many rice cracker shops.

Suddenly the alley appear.......it is an atelier here...
Soka is actually convenient little town which is close to Tokyo.
You can take the trains to Asakusa, Ginza, Tsukiji fishmarket, Shbuya (famous scramble crossing) and Roppongi ...etc...directly.
And there are some direct buses to Narita Airport ( about 1 and half hour) and Haneda Airport ( about 1 hour) easy peasy !
There are a few reasonable accommodations around Soka station too.
