Swiss Bistro

Blue sky and fresh air in the middle of winter in Christchurch...... I sometimes need some peace.

Am I not allow to work in a Swiss Bistro??????? I am Japanese yes, working at Swiss Cafe Bistro with my partner Georges.   A New Zealand couple came in to our Bistro, sat down and looking the menu for a while, then they stand up and left......without saying anything......( there is a menu outside to have a look.) THIS IS VERY RUDE !!!!  we told them. Then, a man said to Georges, " How come there is a Japanese working in Swiss Bistro !!?? "      WHAT!!?? What is wrong with me????????(I said)  Georges said " She is my partner!! " then a man said " I don't care!! "  meaning, it doesn't matter partner or not anyway Japanese in the Swiss Bistro is wrong...... Am I not allow to work here????? The another day, we had a little ague with New Zealand woman, she swore and told Georges " Having Japanese wife is a shame....."  as we told her she was a racist , she said " Yes, I am!!!! "  I can not believe that! What is wrong in the...

Swiss people are always nice at our Bistro. They are polite and well mannered. But for the first time we met a terrible young Swiss woman....just came to annoy us. She was touching and shaking our Olive tree next to the menu board. So, we asked her  " Why do you touch the tree like that? " and she said " I am touching it because it is a beautiful tree.. " ( I already don't understand that her reason ....anyway) and we said " Look with your eyes not with your hand, " nicely...... then she said how rude we were........  we can not believe it....... what about her rudeness?????  Some people think it is funny to annoy people. We are still wondering if she was really Swiss????

Christchurch is very cold lately........ This morning was -3℃, there was frost everywhere .....bururururu

We had a take away dinner ..... Roast leg of Lamb $50  （ローストラム　ポテトも付いて50ドル‼　6人分くら!?） It was very nice and tender and came with potatoes ( Pommes fondantes) it was big enough for 6 people!!! We enjoyed it for 2 days, and  Georges made a ' Lamb Ragout ' with the rest. 残ったラム肉でジョージの特製トマトソースのパスタ。美味しかった。 （エシャロット、ミニパプリカ、ブロッコリー、ラム肉、トマト、スパイス） It was a long time since Georges made a meal for me......!!!! very yummy!

Breakfast ...... Prosciutto crudo and Swiss cheese. Sumner beach Another nice day !! We decided to go to the beach...  first time in 2 years.....??? Such a nice weather, I can't believe it will rain tomorrow ........ We had a nice Holiday!!!

Having breakfast at the Bistro......Bircher Muesli Hagley Park It was a lovely warm Autumn day! We went for a walk in Hagley Park.   Lovely Autumn colours.............
