Our day off in the country!!! Part-1

We were invited for a French lunch on our day off.
On our way there, we had this beautiful view. Only 45 minutes drive from Christchurch city center.

 New Zealand Alps !!!

A couple of Guinea fowls  (ホロホロチョウ：アフリカ原産) 

 always parading around their house.

 As an aperitif we drank Pousse Rapiere with Champagne  and ate some  

Devils on horseback (prunes with bacon)

It felt like Christmas and my birthday all together!!!!! 

We had a lot of laughs, ate & drank too much,  

and with such delicious food, both stomach and heart were filled up!!
