First time after 16 months

We heard that the area around our CAFÉ was open,
so we went for a walk in the city centre......  passing some spot we used to walk before........

Here was a Church.....
now there are empty chairs reminding us all the people who lost their life in the earthquake.

This is my favourite place by the river bordered with Poplar trees where we used to walk with our dog.......

Price Waterhouse Cooper Building is getting demolished now.

ex Marque Hotel now, Rendez Vous Hotel
is standing strongly by the entrance of our Café.
Gloucester street

The car park in Manchester street still has to be demolished ..........
The weather was nice so a lot of people were visiting the sad city centre.
around this corner was our friend's shop that has been completely demolished.

Our Café is in there.....
It was locked, so we still can't get in...............
There...!!!!
We almost can touch it but can't..... It is really sad..... it hurt us....
we want to go back to our place.
   This is behind our café...
knock knock,,,, can you hear, we are here behind !!!!
There was a cinema here before now it has gone....

 friends of us were working.....
at the Heritage Hotel, still standing but in the red zone.

 Millennium Hotel

The symbol of Christchurch, now broken Cathedral, like our heart...

around here somewhere was our friend's Swiss Restaurant  ........

our friend's hairdresser.....and heritage theatre...

The cutest street, New Regent street..... now, ugly.
The clock still show the time when the earthquake happened.........

Friend's café...

 My favourite Antique shop....

We missed this area so much..... with friends, business, memories.....
I can't stop crying  looking at this terrible scene.....

On the way home,  my favourite Ginkgo tree is still standing beautifully....
It was a sad day.......again....
