Swiss Bistro

It has been over 2 years since we were forced to close our cafe by the earthquake. First, we thought we could reopen end of 2012, ....then it was in February 2013.... then June and now September.......  We had a meeting last week, but we didn't hear anything positive, and our plant in the cafe(antique counter, bench for the kitchen and so on) have disappeared from the cafe. They put them in the underground car park. The antique counter was scratched and a few things were broken....... the other things were everywhere mixed up with somebody's else properties.......   I was very shocked. They could have told us before they did that. Do we still have hope to reopen!!!??? now we don't know.....   Christchurch city will reopen soon but will we be there???   It has changed our life completely. Wait and see !!

I haven't written anything for a while....... There was no special news, what a boring life. here a new series of Lindt Chocolate in New zealand, all nice! Caran d'ache pencil. You can buy on line in Japan, but you can't buy in New Zealand. What a pity.....  I am a chocoholic...and Swissholic too.....hahaha!

The street was closed since February 2011.....It took over 2 years to re-open it.... unbelievable. This street used to be beautiful .....at the moment there are only a few shops open, the street looks empty.... These tiles are a trade mark in the street....they replaced the broken ones....they look a bit different...... Swiss Cafe started in this street.....

We went to buy plants in a big gardening shop in Christchurch.   I like herbs....basil, coriander, bay leaf, mints.......ummmm I don't know what to buy.....I was just going  round and round and around....Georges was fallowing me like a little dog..... This time we bought parsley, and coriander and a funny plant which was called bear's paw...cute name!    I put the bear's paw into a tea pot.....now my favourite!!

We drove to Lyttleton to charge the battery which had been low lately. Lyttleton use to be a nice little town but what a pity, it is deserted now..... We parked the car but we couldn't find anywhere to go, so we decided to go back to the city...but when we turned the engine on, the battery was completely flat ........ we had to call the AA and had to wait for 30 minutes which let us enjoying the sunshine........what a nice day it was.....hahaha  We bought some peaches called " Flatto White " from Central Otago, in New Zealand, very nice...!!

An another name for Christchurch is " The Garden City " In the Summer time Christchurch is very beautiful with a lot of sunshine and lovely flowers. Penguins Giraffes Reindeer Elephant Snake
